Jenni is a Birth Arts International Doula and Thrive Mama Collective Postpartum Concierge Doula who moved to Oklahoma in the beginning of 2017 from her home state of Ohio. She attended Ohio University & Louisiana State University for a bachelor’s of science in Wildlife and Conservation Biology and worked for the United States Forest Service in Louisiana. After personally experiencing traumatic births with her two children, she changed career paths and devoted her life to fighting for women’s rights during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. The trauma of her birth experiences lit a fire in her heart for supporting and empowering women. She feels very passionately that every woman deserves to be supported regardless of how she chooses to experience birth. It gives Jenni profound joy that she has the opportunity to be welcomed into such an intimate and life changing event in others lives in order to provide support. There is nothing quite like the exhilaration of a new life entering the world.
Although juggling objects is not Jenni’s strong suit, She does juggle a myriad of hobbies and interests. In her free time, she can be found enthusiastically practicing her aerial acrobatic skills, progressing in acro-yoga or fire prop manipulation, and perfecting her technique and tricks as a fire breather and fire eater. Jenni is working to bring the Oklahoma City community together by sharing her and other talented professional’s passion for circus arts through performance and instruction.
As a strong believer in community, Jenni not only works to be a positive influence on the people of Oklahoma City, but also it’s animals. Jenni and her family are active volunteers with OK Animal Welfare and volunteer their time at the facility and foster animals while they wait to be placed in their new forever home.
