DeAnn Vaughn is a trained postpartum doula pursuing certification in birth, postpartum, and loss. She has a bachelor’s of science in Psychology with specific interests in family systems, perinatal mood disorders, and women’s rights. As a mother of five, including twins, her desire for continued education and parental growth began when faced with teen motherhood. Feeling overwhelmed and unprepared, she explored many avenues of parenting and thought. Through the course of her journey into motherhood, her passion for the sacred bond of mother and baby, as well as nurturing families through the challenges of the fourth trimester developed. Her desire is to empower mothers and fathers in the instinctual knowledge for their baby as they become educated, confident, and transformed by the postpartum experience. From personal growth to societal expectations, DeAnn wants every parent to be informed and mindful as they advocate for their individual and family needs.
