Jenna Mozingo is a Thrive Mama Collective Postpartum Concierge Doula. She is also a DONA International Certified Birth Doula Birthing From Within Birth Art Mentor providing all-options doula support and intuitive birth preparation services. She has served her community as a full-spectrum doula since 2011. Her experiences as a support person through reproductive loss, intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and incarceration have helped her understand the value of peer support and have animated her passion for birth work and reproductive justice. She loves the powerful interweaving of personal and cultural/political narratives that takes place in our birth stories and in the unfolding of healthcare experiences.
Jenna is an enthusiastic dabbler. She holds a B.A. In Political Science from Southwestern University; her studies focused on political theory, environmental studies, and feminist studies. She is also a lifelong student of food medicine, people’s healing traditions, and psychology. She enjoys caring for others, cooking, journaling, writing letters, going for walks, chance encounters, and creative activities of all sorts. She lives for cozy, rainy mornings and a hot cup of tea. Jenna is loved by her family despite her wanderlust, her wild disregard for game rules, and her tendency to organize things that don’t belong to her. She and her partner moved to central Oklahoma from the Austin area in 2014 and spend much of their free time building an earthbag house.
