Farah Antoine-Mayberry brings a unique set of skills to Thrive Mama Collective. She is an occupational therapist and a lactation counselor.
She is passionate about infant development and about empowering mothers and fathers during the prenatal and postnatal stages of development. She has worked with infants, children, and adults in various settings including the NICU. Farah is also certified as a neonatal touch and massage therapist and is a co-facilitator for a Baby Cafe through the Coalition of Oklahoma Breastfeeding Advocates (COBA).
Her mission is to impact the community by focusing on lactation support and education. Farah has been an occupational therapist for over 13 years, earning her degree from Howard University in Washington, DC. She is the co-founder and president of the Oklahoma Association of Neonatal and Pediatric Therapists (OANAPT). This organization was founded to provide opportunities for the professional development of neonatal and pediatric occupational, physical, and speech therapists. Her goal through OANAPT continues to be to equip pediatric health professionals with the tools needed to best serve local families. As an occupational therapist with a lactation specialty, she looks forward to assisting infants and mothers with the support they need to successfully participate in their feeding goals. Farah has been blessed with a supportive husband and 5 incredible children (including a set of twins). Besides working with mothers and babies, she enjoys spending time with family, dabbling in photography, and traveling.
She will be accepting clients with Soonercare and private pay. Plans are in the works for more insurance sources in the future.
